Neil Wilkins began his life in exploration as a 16 year old field hand for North Broken Hill in 1969 and became so impassioned by exploration that he commenced his degree at James Cook University the next year. Neil is a graduate of James Cook University and holds both a Bachelors Degree and Master of Science Degree – His dissertation was on the relationships between the high sulphidation and porphyry styles of mineralisation at Nena and Fieda in Papua New Guinea. Exploration and Amoco in Queensland, Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea and ultimately held the role of Exploration Manager of the Pacific Islands exploration, reporting to the directors in the USA for Amoco until 1986.
Since that time Neil has worked in various parts of Australia, PNG, Mexico, and the USA and is currently the Group Exploration Manager in Australia.
Neil had a leading role in the 2 million ounce gold discovery at Gold Ridge, the discovery of the first major intersections at the Maggies Hays nickel – PGM deposit, and very recently, new discoveries in the form of sulphide nickel and sediment hosted gold deposits in Queensland.
